Question: I remember watching a movie that had a girl in a wheelchair with cerebral palsy, and she wrote letters to Elvis Presley. It was based on a true story, but I cannot for the life of me remember the title. Can you tell me what the title was, and if I can get a tape of it anywhere? My boyfriend really loved that movie and would love to be able to see it again. Besides, he is an Elvis fanatic. Please help. — Anne Marie, Ephrata, Pa.

Televisionary: I do what I can, Anne Marie. You're thinking of the 1980 production Touched by Love, which was based on the true story related by the book To Elvis with Love, by therapist Lena Canada. Deborah Raffin played Canada and Diane Lane played her patient Karen, a cerebral palsy victim who, acting on Canada's advice, decided to start a pen-pal relationship with the King. You can find copies of the movie on Amazon and other online outlets, but you'd better move fast since there aren't many out there.
