Question: Back in the early '90s, my son, then 7 or 8 years old, used to watch Are You Afraid of the Dark?, a one-hour show on Nickelodeon. It was about a group of preteen kids who would sit in front of a campfire and one of them had to tell a story — usually a scary or bizarre one. It was, I think, produced in Canada. Can you provide some details about the show and whether it is available on DVD? Thanks. — Sunil S., Atlanta

Televisionary: I don't have a lot on it, Sunil, but I can tell you the creepy anthology was first produced from 1992-96, and then again from 1999-2000 for a grand total of 91 episodes. As you say, a group of kids (the Midnight Society) got together around a campfire, where one would offer up a creepy tale for each episode. In the second run, one of the kids was a young Elisha Cuthbert, otherwise known as 24's audience favorite, Kim Bauer. As far as I know, it's not available on either VHS or DVD.
