The Psych-Os have spoken!
After 32,000 votes and more than 9,000 submissions, the USA comedy officially has a new, fan-created tagline for Season 7.
The triumphant tagline, pictured below, was created by New Jersey native Evan Pietronico. Pietronico describes himself as a big Psych fan and names Shawn (James Roday) as his favorite character because they get into similar shenanigans and because Pietronico says he has great hair just like Shawn.
Psych first invited its loyal fan base to create the new Season 7 tagline in November. Through the Psych Tag iiit app on USA Network's website and the show's Facebook page, fans were able to insert their own taglines onto a poster from the show and also vote on other viewer-crafted slogans. Earlier this month, the search was whittled down to eight finalists and fans were, again, invited to vote for their favorite.
Returning winter shows: Where we left off
This upcoming season of Psych, which premieres on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 10/9c, will celebrate the show's landmark 100th episode. Season 7 will also feature guest stars Parminder Nagra, Garcelle Beauvais, Jeffrey Tambor, as well as the return of Cybill Shepherd, Kristy Swanson and Kurt Fuller. Psych has already been renewed for an eighth season.
