Princess Madeleine of Sweden and her new husband, New York banker Christopher O'Neill, are expecting their first child, the royal palace announced Tuesday.
The princess, 31, is due in March. The palace said the pregnancy isn't expected to cause any changes in her upcoming fall schedule, including her work for the World Childhood Foundation, a nonprofit created by her mother, Queen Silvia.
Madeleine, the youngest daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf, is fourth in line to the Swedish throne, following her older sister, Crown Princess Victoria, her older brother, Prince Carl Philip, and her niece, Princess Estelle.
She married O'Neill in June after the couple announced their engagement in October 2012.
