Mona's Moment: Janel Parrish on Teaming Up With the Pretty Little Liars

Buckle up, Rosewood. Season 4 of Pretty Little Liars is going to be quite the roller coaster ride now that Janel Parrish's Mona is joining the core four Liars as A's newest prey. Can this bonkers bad girl play nice with Emily and Co.? The Hawaiian knockout gets honest with us about where her duplicitous teen is headed...or at least we think she's telling the truth.

TV Guide Magazine: After March's fiery finale, it seems as if Mona is no longer on the nefarious A Team.
Janel Parrish: She's been betrayed and is probably A's biggest target now.

TV Guide Magazine: But has Mona really shed her crazy?
Parrish: I don't know if she can fully lose it! [Laughs] She definitely has to work with the girls now — no matter what — so it will be interesting to see what that does to their relationships.

TV Guide Magazine: Can she be redeemed?
Parrish: Mona is smart, sarcastic, blunt, and she is ultimately human. You will see her finally showing her true emotions. I think fans want Mona to find some redemption, and teaming with the girls might be the way. 

TV Guide Magazine: Who will be the hardest Liar for Mona to win over?
Parrish: Definitely Hanna [Ashley Benson], because they used to be best friends. Mona and Spencer [Troian Bellisario] have more of an understanding. There is a reluctant respect between the two of them now.

TV Guide Magazine: So if Mona can get right with the girls, is she ready to get with the boys, too?
Parrish: I would like that! Mona deserves love too. And that might calm down some of her crazy! Who knows? [Laughs]

The season premiere of Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesday at 8/7c on ABC Family.
