Rosie O'Donnell must be breathing a big sigh of relief.

On Saturday, the New Jersey Ocean County Prosecutor's Office put out a press release announcing they had arrested Steven Sheerer. He's the 25-year-old man with whom Rosie O'Donnell's 17-year-old daughter Chelsea was found after she went missing for a week. He has been charged with third-degree endangerment of a minor and third-degree distribution of obscenity to a minor. The charges carry a maximum sentence of five years. He's currently being held on $40,000 bail.

Chelsea O'Donnell found in the home of a heroin addict she met on Tindr

On Aug.18, O'Donnell announced Chelsea and her therapy dog, Bear, had been missing for a week. She put out a series of tweets indicating she suspected Sheerer was involved, and cited an article that said he'd been charged with heroin possession with intent to distribute. When interviewed by police, Sheerer initially denied Chelsea was with him but ultimately she was discovered in his home.

According to the announcement from the police, he'd been sending some pretty inappropriate stuff to the minor: "On Friday morning (8/21) Detectives from the High Tech Crime Unit and the Barnegat Police Department retrieved the 17 year old victim's cell phone with consent from the victim's mother. Examination of the phone by the HTCU revealed evidence of inappropriate communications over the last several weeks between Sheerer and the minor."

In addition to the charges and bail, Sheerer is forbidden from contacting anyone in the O'Donnell family, including Chelsea.
