Jake who? In what I like to imagine is a calculated move to take himself off the "Melrose Place reboot" market, Grant Show has signed on to play the boss of Jenna Elfman's unexpectedly pregnant film critic in the CBS comedy pilot Accidentally on Purpose.
Since CBS' Swingtown got its groove off, Show has recurred as Addison's ailing bro on Private Practice.
Also on Purpose, says the Hollywood Reporter, Lennon Parham (Confessions of a Shopaholic) has been cast as Elfman's younger sister.
Among other CBS pilot castings, Julia Ormond will play the head of surgery at the titular hospital in Three Rivers, a medical drama also starring one Alex O'Loughlin. Ormond as of late has appeared in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and guested on CSI: NY.
