Should Trooper get picked up, it would be Sorvino's first TV series. She won the Oscar for best supporting actress in 1996 for Mighty Aphrodite and is also known for her role in Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. She last appeared on the small screen on House's post-Super Bowl episode in 2008.
