Pilot News: Seth Rogen Developing Comedy for Showtime

Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen really loves porno.

The Knocked Up and Zack and Miri Make a Porno star is teaming with production partner Evan Goldberg to develop a new comedy for Showtime about three twentysomethings who learn life's lessons while running a pornography shop, Variety reports.

Rogen and Goldberg will executive produce the untitled project, and Matthew Bass, an assistant to the duo on both Pineapple Express and Superbad, will write the script. The new series is expected to air in 2009.

Showtime has already beefed up its comedy slate for next year with Nurse Jackie, starring Edie Falco, and United States of Tara, from Juno writer Diablo Cody.

Rogen and Goldberg are currently collaborating on the big-screen comedy Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse. Are you looking forward to seeing the former Freaks and Geeks star's brand of humor return on TV?
