Amid a bevy of pilot casting announcements, ABC has tapped Dean Winters — aka 30 Rock's Dennis-the-Beeper King — to play the father of an abducted girl in Happy Town, a mystery about a small town shaken by the return of a serial kidnapper.
The Alphabet network's See Cate Run pilot, meanwhile, has cast Marc Blucas (Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Riley) as a campaign strategist who sees potential in Amy Smart's prosecuting attorney/eventual White House hopeful.
Lastly, says the Hollywood Reporter, Jaime Ray Newman (General Hospital) has landed one of the three leads in Eastwick, which is loosely based on the 1987 film The Witches of Eastwick and the John Updike novel of the same name. Newman will play Eastwick's Kat, a nurse and mother of five children. The actress also can be seen in a new recurring role on Eureka when the Sci Fi Channel series returns in July.
