Report: American Idol Finalist Phillip Phillips Needs Emergency Surgery

American Idol's Phillip Phillips may need to go from next week's finale straight to the hospital.
According to TMZ, the finalist, who suffers from kidney problems, was told by his doctor that he needs surgery immediately. Phillips reportedly refused treatment when he was home last Saturday in order to finish the competition.
American Idol's Joshua Ledet: "I felt relieved"
Fox had no comment.
Back in March, Phillips received emergency medical treatment for pain in his abdomen prior to the Top 13 results show.
