The Oscar-winning actor was found by a friend on the bathroom floor of his apartment Sunday morning with a syringe in his arm. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No cause of death has been determined because an autopsy has come back inconclusive, and police are still currently investigating. Approximately 50 bags of heroin and other drug paraphernalia was found in his apartment. Additional tests, including a toxicology report, will be performed, but may take weeks to receive results.

A large memorial service is expected later this month.
