Philip Seymour Hoffman recently finished detoxing for a narcotics problem after falling off the wagon more than a year ago, TMZ reports.
The Oscar winner, who had been sober for 23 years, told the website he began abusing prescription pills, but after snorting heroin for a week he sought help. Hoffman stayed in the detox facility for 10 days before checking out last Friday.
The actor thanked his "great group of friends and family" for helping him to realize he needed treatment and is already back to work on another film.
