Cable and streaming are officially crushing network
On Tuesday, the Producers Guild of America announced its nominees for its top TV awards, to be given out during January's ceremony. The awards are given to the production team of the best show in a genre, the same group that receives an Outstanding Series Emmy.
This group of nominees is particularly notable for having only one network series in the flagship comedy and drama fields. Besides Modern Family, every nominee airs on cable or a streaming service.
