Pee-wee Herman Is Heading to HBO
Pee-wee Herman is heading to HBO with a special that will present his Broadway show, the network announced Tuesday. HBO will shoot the Paul Reubens production in January following its Broadway engagement that runs through Jan. 2. The special, titled The Pee-wee Herman Show on Broadway, will debut in 2011.

"It's thrilling to have Paul back on the network, and it will be a blast to return to Pee-wee's Playhouse," said Nancy Geller, HBO's senior vice president of original programming.
The Broadway production opened at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Nov. 11, and is based on both Reubens' original stage show and his Emmy-winning Saturday morning program Pee-wee's Playhouse.
