It's never too late for a coming-of-age ceremony — at least not for Paula Abdul.
"Beyond being Jewish, I've always found myself to be very much in tune with spirituality," Abdul, 51, told the AP. "I feel very grateful coming to Israel now, where as a woman I know who I am a lot more than even 10 years ago."
On her tour of the country as an official guest of Israel's ministry of tourism, Abdul has visited holy sites and local landmarks, and was also a guest of President Shimon Peres, according to the AP. She describes the trip as "magic and emotional ... the most magnificent trip I've ever taken."
Abdul has also been posting highlights from her visit on Twitter. On Sunday, she tweeted: "Visiting @YadVashem — The Holocaust Museum — was moving....truly unforgettable. We will never forget and we must educate!"
