Patricia Kara, who beholds suitcase No. 9 on NBC's Deal or No Deal, is putting her money where her months are, by way of a calendar whose proceeds will benefit a worthy cause. Kara shares a peek inside her eye-catching endeavor, as well as offers tips on how to be the guy who "flips her latch".

TVGuide.com: How did it get narrowed down to you and Tameka Jacobs as the only suitcase models on the syndicated Deal or No Deal?
Patricia Kara: I really don't know what the rhyme or reason was, other than we probably are the two loud-mouthed ones. [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: Or maybe you two happen open your cases with an extra-special flourish...?
Kara: You know, that might be it. Or not.

TVGuide.com: If one of you calls in sick, how is it decided who takes your place that day?
Kara:
I don't think either one of us would get sick. Or if we do, we'd suck it up and keep going! If we really were that sick, they could call on one of the other girls, but so far it's been pretty good.

TVGuide.com: You've been suitcase No. 9 for a while now. Do you ever rethink that, and go, "Hmmm, No. 23 is pretty cool...."?
Kara:
No way. I love No. 9. It's a great number. I would never want to be switched. They started me at 8, and then they took me to 10, and once I was at 9, I was like, "This is home."

TVGuide.com: What does the syndicated Deal offer that the prime-time edition does not?
Kara:
They have 22 contestants up there, five days a week, trying to play, so there's a lot more action. It's a faster and quicker version of getting to the money.

TVGuide.com: Of course the dollar amounts are assigned randomly to the cases, but do you find you get one amount more than others?
Kara:
Not really. I notice once in a while, "Oh, I have had a lot of high amounts lately" or low amounts, but it's never the exact same amount every time. I never realized any of it until people started bringing it to my attention.

TVGuide.com: Tell me about the calendar you're doing and the organization it benefits.
Kara:
The calendar is coming out in a couple of weeks, my first official calendar. The money will be going towards Women for Women International, an organization that is about women beautifying and empowering other women, whether it's within in the U.S. or globally — especially in war-torn countries and villages. At the end of the day, we all need to empower each other, and this is a way of giving to them.

TVGuide.com: I'd say the calendar benefits men as well, seeing as in some photos you're not wearing much more than three strategically placed $50 bills. [Click here for an exclusive excerpt.]
Kara:
If you say so! [Laughs] I'm here to help the men as well.

TVGuide.com: I ran this by you the last time we spoke and you said, "Not yet," but I will ask again: Has a man ever suggested a "ménage a 27" with the entire roster of Deal or No Deal suitcase models?
Kara:
Surprisingly enough, not one person has ever asked that. I can't believe no guy has thought of that — outside of you!

TVGuide.com: What kind of fella does it take to turn your head?
Kara:
He's got to be funny. A sense of humor is what catches my attention. If I find a guy who's not trying too hard but is just naturally funny, I'm like, "Hmmmmm...." I like a guy who's low-key and humble, with a bit of shyness. That's what excites me.
