The party's over for Party Down — and for Gravity.

Starz has canceled the Friday night comedies, the network announced Wednesday.

"After careful consideration, we've decided not to continue on with subsequent seasons of Party Down

and Gravity," said Stephan Shelanski, Starz's executive vice president of programming. "We're grateful to everyone involved in the shows, and are proud to have had them on the channel. Starz remains committed to aggressively expanding our original programming lineup."The cancellations are hardly surprising, as neither series earned big ratings. Despite critical acclaim and a Television Critics Association for best comedy series, Party Down only pulled in a meager 74,000 viewers Friday for its second season — and now series — finale.

Party Down's Adam Scott joins Parks and Recreation

The quirky comedy about a group of caterers/aspiring Hollywood actors and writers also suffered from casting shake-ups. Jane Lynch left after the first season to join Glee, while Adam Scott recently signed on as a regular on Parks and Recreation.Gravity, a dramedy about a group of suicide survivors, premiered in April and drew 54,000 viewers for its finale Friday. Will you miss Party Down and Gravity?
