Julia is described as a warm and charming woman who appreciates art and literature, but who also has a bit of a dark side when provoked. While Leslie (Amy Poehler) makes a good impression, Julia won't necessarily be in a good mood when Ben's (Adam Scott) father Steve (portrayed by Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks, as first reported by Hitfix.com) shows up with his much younger new girlfriend.
Headly is well-known for her roles in Mr. Holland's Opus and Sgt. Bilko, while her television credits include ER, Monk and Grey's Anatomy.
Headly and Banks are slated to appear in the sixth episode of the new season, fittingly titled "Ben's Parents." Parks and Recreation premieres Thursday, Sept. 20 at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.
