Paris Hilton may be craftier than she previously let on.

Earlier this week, many outlets reported she was a victim of a cruel prank involving a plane that was about to crash over Dubai. The former reality star screamed and cried as the jet appeared to lose altitude and a crew member tossed another passenger out an open door.

The hoax was purportedly put on by Egyptian TV show Ramez in Control. But now, it turns out the socialite may have been on in it all along.

TMZ reports they've obtained documents showing the Egyptian production company that organized the prank approach several other celebrities before settling for Paris Hilton. Apparently, the payday for such a stunt is "in the million dollar range."

Before that, they'd reported the former Simple Life star was planning on suing the company that had organized it all.
