Paparazzo Popped for Stalking Jamie Lynn Spears

Shutterbug Edwin W. Merino, 30, of Los Angeles, was arrested on Tuesday on charges of stalking mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears. Authorities in Liberty, Miss., tell the AP that Merino wouldn't leave 17-year-old Spears and her fiancé, Casey Aldridge, alone during his four-day visit to the small town. Merino denies the charge, saying that he was some 200 feet away from the couple, using a long lens, at the time he was arrested. "I think since I was the only [paparazzo] there, it was just easier for them to single me out," he has argued.Merino spent little time in jail after posting the $1,143 in blood money he needed to be released. — Matt Mitovich
