Prentiss will be around a lot longer this time
Prentiss is back again -- and for a little bit longer this time!
Paget Brewster will guest-star in multiple episodes of Criminal Minds next season, CBS announced Thursday.
"We're excited to have Paget Brewster back for multiple episodes in our 12th season," showrunner and executive producer Erica Messer said in a statement. "The BAU can use more help this year since they've got a lot of known and unknown subjects to catch."

It's unclear when Prentiss will make her first appearance in Season 12, which will follow the BAU as they track down 13 unsubs, including Mr. Scratch, who broke out of prison in the Season 11 finale.
This will be the third time Brewster has returned to the drama since leaving at the end of Season 7. She previously came back for the 200th episode in 2014 and most recently in March, a week after Shemar Moore's departure. (Adam Rodriguez is replacing Moore next season.)

"We like to leave that door open for people to come back and play," Messer told TVGuide.com in March. "Not all the time, of course, but when it's right and [schedules] work out."
Season 12 of Criminal Minds premieres Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 9/8c on CBS.
