Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco are going deep — on their own weekly talk show. "There are no topics really that are off-limits," Owens says of Versus' The T.Ocho Show, which pairs two of the most opinionated, controversial, in-your-face players in the NFL. "I think Chad is the louder of the two mouths — definitely when we have something to say it's heard."
T.O., who joined Ochocinco in the Cincinnati Bengals receiving corps this season, isn't worried about the league taking offense. "If they get mad, oh well, this is something that belongs to us," Owens says. "It's our network. We take a leave of absence on Tuesday when it comes to our show and we turn into media darlings for a couple of hours." Get ready for some disagreements. "We don't go to the beat of each other's drum," Owens says.
The show will be filmed at the players' homes. "We're just starting out," Owens says. "We're not this major network where we have our own studio yet. Once we get out there, get some ratings, we'll get to that point. Right now we're kind of low-key, low-budget." But they're hoping to be high-profile. Although both players already star in their own VH1 reality shows, Owens considers the talk format better preparation for life after the NFL. "This is the way for me and Chad to really promote and get ourselves out there," he says. Now they just hope they get a good reception.
The T.Ocho Show premieres Tuesday at 10:30/9:30c on Versus.
