Leah Pipes, Todd Stashwick
The Originals' Cami is about to take desperate measures to save the only family she has left in New Orleans.
After her uncle Kieran (Todd Stashwick) was hit with a deadly curse, Cami (Leah Pipes) — one of the only humans on the show — believed she got a witch to reverse the spell. But after Klaus (Joseph Morgan) went and screwed that up, Cami will be forced to do anything she can to keep Kieran from dying.
"She's pretty desperate at this point so she's taking some drastic measures — you see her at her wit's end," Pipes tells TVGuide.com. "It's been a very emotional arc. But I think she has this wonderful ability of refusing to hit rock bottom. Her family life has been through many trials and tribulations, and the fact that she doesn't give up and continues to fight on makes her really interesting. She's not allowing herself to wallow in her own despair, and instead she's trying to solve the problem."

Although Klaus rarely makes apologies for his actions, he was forthright about being the reason Genevieve (Elyse Levesque) changed her mind on the spell. Cami was certainly angry, but can she forgive him? "I definitely do," Pipes says. "In that last scene, what we tried to portray was that Cami wasn't mad at him for ruining her chances to save her uncle, but explaining to him that he's reaping what he sows. He set up Cami and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and now that it's happen he's upset. But she wasn't lecturing him. We tried to make it so that she was explaining to him the way he treats other people is going to end up hurting people in the end sometimes. [But] I don't know if the message was received or not."

And speaking of her complex relationship with Klaus, will Cami choose him or Marcel by season's end? Although Klaus has been drawn to her since the show's start, she recently slept with his former protégé. "She has a lot of respect for both of them and feels deeply for both of them, so I think she feels conflicted," Pipes says. "But I'm not telling you which one she chooses."
OK, fine, but Klaus and Marcel were dying in a fire and she could only pick one to save, who would it be? "By the end of the season that question will be answered," she says.
