Oprah Winfrey has inked a deal to publish her memoir, which will be called The Life You Want and is scheduled to be released in January 2017.

In a statement, Winfrey said she hopes that by telling her story she "inspires other people to live the highest, fullest expression of themselves." She says the book will include anecdotes she's never told in public, "even the painful ones."

No figures were disclosed for the deal, which also includes an imprint at Flatiron Books for Winfrey to publish books of her choosing (something she is already very good at), but insiders presume it is one of the most lucrative in publishing history. Her advance is probably in the eight-figure range, comparable to the ones Bill and Hillary Clinton received for their respective memoirs, The Hollywood Reporter speculated.

Oprah Winfrey finally speaks out about her "secret son"

Flatiron has published collections of content from O, the Oprah Magazine, but this is the media mogul's first memoir. It will surely contain a lot of wisdom and fascinating stories, as Oprah Winfrey has lived a remarkable life, from growing up in poverty to becoming one of the most powerful women in the world.
