Oprah Winfrey Invites Abused Student Back to School
In South Africa on Sunday, talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey met for two hours with the family of the first child to come forward with allegations of abuse at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. The student's father told the Associated Press that the sitdown, the family's first with the superstar since he pulled his daughter from the institution, was emotional but that, by the end, he was glad that she had been invited back to finish out the eighth grade. — Ben Katner
