Oprah Winfrey continued her activist ways on Monday's episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. The syndicated chatfest's full hour was dedicated to the new Senate bill targeting child predators. The episode, rated TV-14, examined the "true extent and pervasiveness of child pornography trafficking in America" and called for viewer support for PROTECT Our Children Act, U.S. Senate Bill 1738, which has bipartisan support and is currently before the Senate. Winfrey, a victim of child abuse, has long been an advocate of such safeguards. In 1991, she testified to establish a national database of convicted child abusers, which was signed into effect as "The Oprah Law" two years later. In 2005, she created Oprah's Child Predator Watch List that resulted in the arrest of nine of the featured fugitives. -
