Beauty and her beast just may get their happy ending after all.
Emilie de Ravin has been promoted to series regular on Once Upon a Time for Season 2, TVGuide.com has confirmed. TVLine.com first reported the news.
In Season 1, the 30-year-old actress portrayed Beauty and the Beast's Belle, whose Storybrooke counterpart was locked up in a mental institution by Regina (Lana Parrilla). She was sprung in the season finale and reunited with former love interest Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) just in time for him to release a whole new Smoke Monster set of problems for Season 2: the introduction of magic into the real world.

De Ravin, who is best known for playing Claire Littleton on ABC's Lost
, appeared in three episodes during the first season. She was set to star in the drama pilot Americana
, which failed to get a pickup at ABC.
Her promotion comes less than a week after co-star Meghan Ory
, who plays Red Riding Hood, was also bumped up
to series regular.Once Upon a Time
will return this fall on Sundays at 8/7c.
