Once Upon a Time's biggest villains have someone new in their crosshairs, and a familial bond may not be enough to save her.

The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) failed to darken Henry's (Jared Gilmore) heart by trying to force him to kill an innocent to save Regina (also Parrilla) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison). Meanwhile, Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) fell even further behind in his pursuit to get Belle (Emilie de Ravin) to forgive him. That puts both EQ and Rumple in need of a big play to stay in the game, and they've decided that getting rid of Zelena (Rebecca Mader) is the only way to get ahead.

How does the Wicked Witch figure into this? Well, she may have royally stepped in it when she decided to help Belle try to escape from Rumple in the first place, not to mention being the one to tell Belle about Rumple and EQ's secret make-out sessions in the shop. Zelena has made a powerful enemy out of Rumple. Too bad for her, the Evil Queen probably thinks she needs Rumple's help taking out the Charmings more than she needs Zelena.

Zelena might be able to hold her own if it was just the Evil Queen coming after her, but adding Rumple to the deal may be too much for her to take. All hope is not lost for the green witch from Oz though. There's still time for the Evil Queen to realize that she's not willing to sacrifice the only person who actually cares about her just to assist in Rumple's scheme. If her heart is that black, then Zelena would be very wise to start groveling to Regina to get back in the hero's good graces.

Zelena is not a fan-favorite character, particularly after she tricked Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) into impregnating her, but after she and Regina managed to find some common ground and attempt to be real family to each other last season, she's grown a lot. Her standing with fans also doesn't change how killing her is a very dark path for both the Evil Queen and Rumpelstiltskin.

Once Upon a Time's new couple has some major issues right off the bat

Rumple thinks that getting rid of Zelena is just getting rid of an obstacle between him and Belle, but his estranged wife will see it as him killing the mother of a newborn baby. The Dark One is being very short sighted as he gets more and more desperate to keep Belle close to him, but if this plan works it will inevitably only push him farther away from his one true love and make it that much more difficult to allow him to be a father to their child. He needs to find a way to fight the darkness taking over him or Rumple runs the chance of ruining all potential hope of being with Belle, and he'll cost Regina and the Evil Queen the only true family they have left in the meanwhile.

Do you want Rumple and the Evil Queen's plan to work, or are they going too far?
