Day 4 of the Winter Olympics on Tuesday will see the long-awaited debut of women's ski jumping and possibly the first-ever three-peat by an American man. Here's what you should watch (all times ET).

The 411 on the 12 new Winter Olympic events

All events are live-streamed at NBCOlympics.com. Tuesday's tape-delayed daytime coverage (3 p.m., NBC) includes luge, freestyle skiing and cross-country. Tape-delayed prime-time coverage (8 p.m., NBC) includes snowboarding, freestyle skiing, figure skating (pairs short) and ski jumping. The pairs short program will also air live at 10 a.m. on NBC Sports.Ski jumping, women's individual normal hill
When:
12:30 p.m. (live); 8 p.m. on NBC (tape delay)Female jumpers will finally soar at the Olympics for the first time following a decades-long fight to include the event at the Games. Seventeen-year-old Sara Takanashi of Japan, who's won a record 19 World Cup titles, is the overwhelming favorite. Her expected battle with American world champion Sarah Hendrickson might not come to fruition: Hendrickson, who tore her ACL and MCL, and shredded 80 percent of her meniscus on her right knee in August, has been experiencing pain in practice and jumping from a lower gate.

Olympic hotties: Who's sizzling beneath the parka?

Freestyle skiing, women's slopestyle
When:
4 a.m. (live); 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on NBC (tape delay)The ski version of the new event will make its debut, with Canadian Kaya Turski the top contender. Like Hendrickson, she also tore her ACL in August, but has recovered swiftly, winning her fourth Winter X Games gold last month. Fifteen-year-old Maggie Voisin, the youngest U.S. Winter Olympian since 1972, pulled out after injuring her ankle on a rail in practice Friday. Qualifications start at 1 a.m.Snowboarding, men's halfpipe final
When:
12:30 p.m. (live); 8 p.m. on NBC (tape delay)After withdrawing from slopestyle, Shaun White will shred for a three-peat in the pipe, which would make him the first American man to win an individual Winter Olympics event three times. The good news for the rest of the field: White, who's been nursing injuries, hasn't been his usual unbeatable self this season. Who could top him? Swiss Iouri Podladtchikov, aka IPod, who was the first person to land a cab double cork 1440, which he's dubbed the YOLO flip (White has been working on a frontside double cork 1440), and White's fellow Americans Greg Bretz, who upset him at a U.S. Olympic qualifier, and Winter X Games champ Danny Davis, whose stylish ways is an alternative to the "spin-to-win" approach. Qualifications start at 5 a.m.
