[SPOILER ALERT: The following story reveals the outcome of Saturday's Olympic tennis women's singles final.]

Serena Williams has added a gold medal to her already crowded trophy case.

The 14-time Grand Slam champ dominated Maria Sharapova 6-0, 6-1 in the Olympics singles final Saturday to complete the career Golden Slam. Williams, who won her fifth Wimbledon title last month at the All-England Club — the site of Olympic tennis — served three aces in the first game and reeled off nine straight games before the Russian got on the board.

Both Williams and Sharapova, the reigning French Open champ, were aiming to become to the second woman after Steffi Graf to achieve the career Golden Slam: win all four Grand Slams and Olympic singles gold.

World No. 1 and Australian Open champ Victoria Azarenka of Belarus took the bronze, defeating Sharapova's compatriot Maria Kirilenko 6-3, 6-4.
