Octomom Files for Bankruptcy

"I have had to make some very difficult decisions this year and filing Chapter 7 was one of them," the mother of 14 said. "I have to do what is best for my children and I need a fresh start."
According to the documents filed with Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, Suleman, 36, claims that she can no longer pay her bills, has less than $50,000 in assets, and owes between $500,000 and $1 million in liabilities. She's seeking Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection.

Suleman, who made headlines in 2009 after giving birth to octuplets, recently posed nude for the British magazine Closer.
