Responding to a number of complaints, Santa Monica's city-owned busline has ripped down posters from the sides of its buses promoting the new season of America's Next Top Model. "It's a matter of public taste," the director of transit services explains to Variety, declining to reveal exactly how many complaints came in, only saying, "enough that it allowed me to make the decision."

At issue, interestingly, is not so much the fact that the posters feature the new cycle's hopefuls clad in bikinis, but the appearance of Santa Monica endorsing a show that may objectify women.
