Nicolle Wallace Is Leaving The View For Good

Nicolle Wallace will not be returning to The Viewin any capacity after turning down an offer to appear as an occasional contributor on the show, Variety reports.

"Our friend Nicolle Wallace is going to leave the show at the conclusion of the season," executive Bill Wolff told staff in a note. "Having worked with her for most of the last year, you know the warmth, smarts, and professionalism she has brought to the job every day. She will always be a friend of our show, and I know you join me in wishing her only the best."

Wallace joined The View this season as conservative voice of the panel, but was axed along with Rosie Perez. She is expected to say her goodbye on one of the remaining shows before The View's summer break, which begins next week.

Sherri Shepherd is returning to The View

When the show returns for its 19th season in the fall, it will be with a new panel, including Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symone, Michelle Collins, Paula Faris andCandace Cameron Bure, who will be splitting time between The View and filmingFuller House through the end of the year. To fill the gap, the show will continue to bring in a revolving group of guest hosts such as Sherri Shepherd and Molly Sims.
