Nick Nolte Joins Fox's Broadchurch Adaptation

Nick Nolte has joined the cast of Fox's Gracepoint, the American adaptation of the BBC's hit murder mystery drama Broadchurch, the networkd announced Monday.

The three-time Oscar nominee will play Jack Reinhold, a stubborn and unmarried man who runs the kayak rental shop on the beach as well as the local wildfire observation program, where the murdered boy at the center of the story was a volunteer.

Nolte, whose credits include Gangster Squad, Parkerand The Company You Keep, joins the previously cast David Tennant, Anna Gunn, Jacki Weaver, Michael Pena, Kevin Rankin, Virginia Kull and Kevin Zegers. 

Dan Futterman  and Anya Epstein will executive-produce the series alongside Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall, who will also write the premiere episode. Shine America's Carolyn Bernstein and Jane Featherstone are also attached as executive producers.

Gracepoint is slated to go into production in January for broadcast in the 2014-15 TV season. Will you watch?
