Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, is firmly denying that he had anything to do with her death.

In a response to a wrongful death suit that was filed against him by Brown's estate, Gordon calls the accusations that he contributed to her drowning "scandalous," according to E! Online.

In his response, Gordon also clarifies that he and Brown were not married before her death, though Brown made it seem like they were. "Defendant admits he had several types of relationships with Ms. Brown and that Ms. Brown considered themselves married and held themselves out as such although they did not legally get married before her passing," the response reads, according to E!

Bobbi Kristina Brown dies at 22

After Brown's death in late July, her estate administrator filed a wrongful death complaintagainst Gordon that accused him of physically abusing Brown, stealing more than $10,000 from her bank accounts while she was hospitalized, and contributing to her death by giving her a "toxic cocktail" and placing her in a bathtub on Jan. 31.

Gordon, who entered rehab in March after an interview with Dr. Phil, admits that he and Brown argued that night after he returned home from a night of partying, but denies giving her the cocktail and putting her in the bathtub. Rather, Gordon claims he found Brown in the bathtub and that he and others tried to wake her up by performing CPR.

Brown was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her and Gordon's home in Georgia on Jan. 31 and was rushed to the hospital, where she remained unconscious and on life support until her death on July 26. Throughout her hospitalization, Brown's family members repeatedly clashed with Gordon during the entire ordeal, at one point banning him from seeing her in the hospital and later, from her funeral.

"Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly," Gordon's attorneys said, according to E! "Nick intends to expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most."
