A.J. Clemente, a rookie news anchor from North Dakota, was swiftly fired after dropping the f-bomb on air, according to CBS News.
Clemente, who had recently graduated from West Virginia, kicked off the newscast by saying "f---" and "sh--," likely not realizing he was on air. "Rookie mistake. I'm a free agent. Can't help but laugh at myself and stay positive. Wish I didn't trip over my 'Freaking Shoes' out of the gate," Clemente tweeted after the broadcast.
Fall TV Scorecard: Renewed or canceled?
After Clemente was suspended following the broadcast, the station decided to fire him, posting an apology for his language online. "Unfortunately KFYRTV has decided to let me go," Clemente tweeted. "Thank you to them and everyone in ND for the opportunity and everyone for the support."
