Sorry Bro, Neil Patrick Harris Doesn't See a Point in Reviving How I Met Your Mother

We did have nine years

As more and more of your previous favorite shows are brought back to try and regain their former glory, every actor who was on those programs must answer if they'd be willing to come back for a revival.

It's the TV landscape we live in, so naturally, when presented with the chance to talk with Neil Patrick Harris about the upcoming season of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events we had to ask if he'd ever be willing to suit up and play the most legen -- wait for it -- dary sitcom character of all time: How I Met Your Mother's Barney Stinson.

Unfortunately, it's not something Harris has thought a lot about or is that keen to do, given that the show did run for nine seasons on CBS and wrapped up all the characters' arcs.

A Series of Unfortunate EventsReveals Season 2 Premiere Date and Teaser

"I really just look back on that chapter with great fondness. I just don't feel like there's anything left to do, really." Harris told TV Guide. "I miss the players within it. I miss the writing staff and Pam Fryman, who directed all of those shows. It was fun to get to play with the same actors every week, but right now I'm knee-deep in Snicket and those are some bony knees."

It's not all bad news! You can still watch any episode of How I Met Your Mother on Hulu and the first season of A Series of Unforunate events is currently streaming on Netflix. Season 2 launches March 30.
