There are a lot of fierce, even uncomfortable debates happening in entertainment world now, from the totally not-OK gender disparity in pay to what to do about the diversity problem.

It turns out while we were all losing sleep over important matters like if Making a Murderer's filmmakers left out crucial evidence, physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson was engaged in an epic philosophical battle for the ages with rapper B.o.B. over whether the Earth is flat or round.

In a series of tweets, the "Airplanes" singer essentially declared us all fools for believing our planet is round, prompting Tyson to boldly go where no celebrity scientist has gone before: dropping basic science knowledge to a rapper over Twitter.

"Duude," Tyson wrote in one tweet, "to be clear: Being five centuries regressed in your reasoning doesn't mean we all can't still like your music."
