NCIS: New Orleans has nabbed Scott Bakula for the lead role, TVLine reports.

Bakula will play NCIS Special Agent Pride, who's driven by the need to do what's right.

Bakula, 59, most recently appeared on the HBO series Looking. Prior to that, he starred on Men of a Certain AgeStar Trek: Enterprise and Quantum LeapHe has also recurred on Chuck and Desperate Housewives, among others.

Additionally, Dirty Sexy Money alum Zoe McLellan has been cast as Special Agent Brody, a Midwest native who comes to New Orleans in search of a fresh start and a safe haven to heal old wounds. Before playing Peter Krause's wife on Money, McLellan played P.O. Jennifer Coates on JAG — the series from which the original NCIS was spun off.

The upcoming spin-off, which will launch as a backdoor pilot in a spring NCIS two-parter, will focus on the New Orleans office of NCIS that handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle.
