Pilot season is officially in full swing!

On May 1, NBC announced the pickup of three new dramas to series, including the Dick Wolf-produced Chicago Med, a spin-off of Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. The premise for Chicago Med was teased in a crossover episode last year, and stars Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Laurie Holden and Yaya Dacosta.

Joining Chicago Med is Blindspotand Heartbreaker. Medical drama Heartbreaker (originally called Heart Matter) is based on the life of cardiologist Kathy Magliato. Melissa George (of The Slap and The Good Wife) will star as Dr. Alex Panttiere, who balances her maverick surgery career and a racy personal life. Dave Annable (Brothers and Sisters) co-stars.

Blindspot is a conspiracy/mystery drama set in New York. Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif from Thor) plays Jane, an amnesiac who wakes up in Times Square naked and covered in cipher-like tattoos, the most prominent of which is the name of the FBI agent assigned to her case.
