Happy Endings star Casey Wilson has landed the leading role in her fiancée David Caspe's NBC pilot, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Marry Me, a half-hour comedy, tells the story of the exploits of longtime couple Annie (Wilson) and Jake, who get engaged only to quickly realize it's harder than it looks.
Wilson, whose credits also include Saturday Night Liveand How I Met Your Mother, got engaged to Caspe in late 2013. NBC also recently ordered a comedy pilot for Mason Twins from Wilson and her producing partner June Raphael.
Caspe, who created Happy Endings, will write and executive-produce with Happy Endings' Jamie Tarses and The Goldbergs' Seth Gordon, who will also helm the pilot.
