Marcia Gay Harden may be returning to NBC in a full-time capacity.
The 52-year-old actress, who occasionally appears on Law & Order: SVU, has landed the leading role in the network's new comedy pilot Isabel, Entertainment Weeklyreports. Harden will play Francis, the matriarch of a middle-class family that has to deal with the challenges of raising a daughter, Isabel (Sophia Mitri Schloss), who has magical qualities.
Marcia Gay Harden to guest-star on Bent
Inspired by the French-Canadian series Le Monde De Charlotte, the series will be executive-produced by Howard Busgang and Tom Nursall.
Harden, who was attached to ABC's comedy pilot Smothered, which failed to get a pick-up last season, will next guest-star on NBC's new comedy Bent.
