NBC Pre-Empts It's a Wonderful Life for Sound of Music Live! Encore

NBC is bumping its annual airing of It's a Wonderful Life by a week in favor of an encore presentation of The Sound of Music Live!

Wonderful Life was scheduled to air Saturday, Dec. 14 at 8/7c on NBC, but the holiday classic will be pushed to the following Saturday, Dec. 20., the network announced.

The critically panned live version of The Sound of Music, starring Carrie Underwood as Maria and Stephen Moyer as Captain Von Trapp, drew about 18.5 million viewers when it originally aired on Thursday, Dec. 5.
