NBC has canceled The New Normal, TVGuide.com has learned.
Ryan Murphy's struggling comedy, which starred Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells, ended its first season with a one-hour finale. The first of the back-to-back episode (5 million, 1.9) performed on par with Go On's performance in the timeslot the previous week, but the second episode only drew a 3.6 million and 1.4.

Earlier Friday, the network canceled Go On, which came after NBC also axed 1600 Penn, Whitney, Guys with Kids and Up All Night. The network has since ordered several new series, including Chicago Firespin-off Chicago PD, Blair Underwood drama Ironside, Bill Lawrence's Undateable, Jason Katims' About a Boy, J.J. Abrams' Believe, Crisis, The Family Guide, Blacklist, Night Shift, Welcome to the Family and Sean Hayes' Sean Saves the World.
