Nashville Mega Buzz: Are Scarlett and Gunnar Done Forever?

The love story between Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) onNashvillehas been tumultuous, to say the least. We'd love to hold out hope that these two are endgame, even after their big breakup last season, but we've got a strong feeling they might be done for good!

This season has put them on totally different paths, and according to Marshall Herskovitz, those paths won't necessarily lead them back to each other.

"Their lives really diverge, and so I don't really want to set up any expectation that there's going to be some satisfying moment," Herskovitz tells TV Guide. "They are still friends with each other. They still see each other. There are things that happen between them, but they really are creating new lives for themselves."

We'll be interested to see what these "things" that happen between them are, but it's hard to imagine that the character arcs they're currently on now will present much opportunity for a romance to reemerge before Nashville's final season wraps up.
