Nancy Kerrigan's brother, who was charged with assault and battery after a fatal struggle with his father, was released from jail Wednesday when his family posted $10,000 bail.
Mark Kerrigan must wear a global positioning device and be monitored for alcohol consumption as a condition of his release, reports The Washington Post.
"The Kerrigan family is delighted to have Mark back with them," Kerrigan family spokeswoman Nancy Sterling said.
Daniel Kerrigan, 70, died in January following a fight with son Mark — the 45-year-old brother of two-time Olympic figure-skating medal winner Nancy Kerrigan. She's reporting on the current games for Entertainment Tonight.
Mark allegedly grabbed his father by the neck, according to police. Daniel's death was ruled a homicide by a Massachusetts state medical examiner, according to The Associated Press. Prosecutors have yet to say whether they will upgrade the assault charge.
