MTV Announces More Snooki & JWoWW, Premiere of Finding Carter, Alaskan Docu-Series

MTV is staying in the Snooki & JWOWW business, but is also adding additional scripted projects to its slate, the network announced at its upfront presentation Thursday. The network ordered new seasons of Snooki & JWOWW as well as additional cycles of The Real World and Girl Code. Snack-Off, a new cooking competition show about amateur chefs battling in an array of snack- inspired challenges, premieres Thursday, July 10 at 10:30/9:30c.

MTV is staying in the Snooki & JWOWW business, but is also adding additional scripted projects to its slate, the network announced at its upfront presentation Thursday.

The network ordered new seasons of Snooki & JWOWW as well as additional cycles of The Real World and Girl CodeSnack-Off, a new cooking competition show about amateur chefs battling in an array of snack- inspired challenges, premieres Thursday, July 10 at 10:30/9:30c.

The network also greenlit three new reality series. Alaska-based docu-series Slednecks features a group of friends living in the modern-day Wild, Wild West of Alaska. Beyond Dance, hosted by Jason Dundas, is a weekly hour-long competition show that challenges professional dancers to perform and compete in ways that push the boundaries of traditional dance. One Bad Choice tells true stories about decisions that had massive impact on a young person's life.

Season MVPs: The year's best

On the scripted side, the network announced that Finding Carter will premiere on Tuesday, July 8 at 10/9c. The upcoming family drama starsKathryn Prescott as a teenage girl who learns that her fun-loving single mom Lori (Milena Govich) abducted her as a toddler and she must now return to her birth family. As she attempts to adjust to her new life with her parents and twin sister, she vows to reconnect with Lori.

On the music front, Ed Sheeran will take fans inside his world in the 60-minute documentary film 9 Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran, which will air Tuesday, June 10 at 11/10c.

As previously announced, Teen Wolf Season 4 will return on Monday,June 23 at 10/9c and Ridiculousness, hosted by Rob Dyrdek, returns for a fifth season on Thursday, July 10 at 10/9c.
