Shailene Woodley was the big winner at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, taking home three of the night's biggest trophies.
Woodley, who won Best Female Performance and Best Kiss with Ansel Elgort — both for The Fault in Our Stars, which was also named the Movie of the Year — was honored with the MTV Trailblazer Award. During one of her many acceptance speeches, Woodley brought author John Green to tears.
"It changed my life when I read it," she said. "And being a part of this film dramatically influenced who I am today. His words will transcend time, because they transcend any age. There's not one single demographic that won't be affected by the wisdom and the compassion and the beauty that he laces into every single thing that he does in his life."
Another big heartfelt moment came from Robert Downey Jr., who won the Generational Award.
"In the 34 years that have passed since the birth of MTV, I've grown up, I've struggled, I've failed. I've partied way too much," he said. "I begged for second chances and literally clawed my way to the top." The actor then treated viewers to a new preview of his upcoming flick Avengers: Age of Ulton.
