Justin Bieber Was the Big Winner at the MTV EMAs

Justin Bieber's comeback year continued at Sunday's MTV Europe Music Awards, where the singer took home five prizes, including Best Male Performer, Biggest Fans and Best Worldwide Act (North America).

Bieber also performed his song "What Do You Mean?" at the show, which was held at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan.

Ed Sheeran, who hosted the show along with Ruby Rose, won awards for Best Live Act and Best World Stage (at the U.K.'s V Festival last year).

Other winners included Taylor Swift, who won Best Song for her version of "Bad Blood" featuring Kendrick Lamar; One Direction, who took home the Best Pop prize; and Rihanna, who was named Best Female Performer.

Nicki Minaj received the Best Hip Hop award, while the Best Rock award went to Coldplay and Shawn Mendes was named Best New Artist.
